Credit Card New Rules : क्रेडिट कार्ड users सावधान! 1 april से बदलेंगे नियम | ITD| cibil score

Digital payments are growing rapidly in the country and now people in small cities have also started using credit cards extensively. Meanwhile, the Income Tax Department has issued the draft Income Tax Rules 2026, in which many important changes related to credit cards have been proposed. These new rules can replace the old Income Tax Rules 1962 and their aim is to make transactions more transparent and keep better monitoring on big expenses. The biggest change is related to big credit card bill payments. If a person pays a bill of more than Rs 10 lakh in a financial year through digital means like UPI, bank transfer or cheque, then the bank or the card issuing company will inform the department about it. Whereas if someone makes a cash payment of Rs 1 lakh or more, then reporting of the same will also be necessary.

देश में डिजिटल भुगतान तेजी से बढ़ रहा है और अब छोटे शहरों में भी लोग क्रेडिट कार्ड का खूब इस्तेमाल करने लगे हैं। इसी बीच Income Tax Department ने ड्राफ्ट इनकम टैक्स नियम 2026 जारी किए हैं, जिनमें क्रेडिट कार्ड से जुड़े कई अहम बदलाव प्रस्तावित हैं। ये नए नियम पुराने Income Tax Rules 1962 की जगह ले सकते हैं और इनका मकसद लेन-देन को ज्यादा पारदर्शी बनाना और बड़े खर्चों पर बेहतर निगरानी रखना है। सबसे बड़ा बदलाव बड़े क्रेडिट कार्ड बिल भुगतान से जुड़ा है। अगर कोई व्यक्ति एक वित्त वर्ष में 10 लाख रुपये से ज्यादा का बिल डिजिटल माध्यम जैसे UPI, बैंक ट्रांसफर या चेक से चुकाता है, तो बैंक या कार्ड जारी करने वाली कंपनी इसकी जानकारी विभाग को देगी। वहीं अगर कोई 1 लाख रुपये या उससे ज्यादा नकद भुगतान करता है, तो उसकी रिपोर्टिंग भी जरूरी होगी।
