Especially if traveling solo or with friends, hostels offer dorm beds or private rooms at a fraction of the cost of hotels. They often have communal kitchens and social areas.

Eat Like a Local

Seek out street food (check for hygiene standards!), local eateries, and food markets rather than expensive tourist-trap restaurants. Lunch specials are often cheaper than dinner menus.

Limit Expensive Drinks
